The University Libraries Teaching and Learning with Technology department seeks an Office Assistant to provide in-office support.Please note the times you areavailableto work on your application. The ideal candidate should be able to work up to 20 hours a week consisting of 3-4-hour shifts between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In this position, you will build your administrative soft skills by enhancing your communication, decision-making, time management, and self-motivation expertise. You will gain valuable experience by performing administrative duties such as event planning, preparing reports and spreadsheets, collecting data, executing website updates, and assisting the TLT leadership team. Successful candidates must be dependable and practice good office ethics and workplace etiquette.Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to working with diverse populations.This position requires you to be in-person and does not have a hybrid or remote option.Applicants should submit aresumealong with an application.

Responsibilities may include: *Greeting visitors (both in person and via telephone) and directing as appropriate; *Providing outstanding service to our community (direct interaction with students, staff, faculty, and community members) with empathy and clear communication *Create, update, and maintain office inventory regularly. *Disinfect tabletops in shared and conference rooms weekly. *Check, sort, and drop off mail twice daily. *Maintaining office webpages (www.tlt.psu.edu). *And assisting the TLT leadership team with special projects. Requirements and qualifications: *Ideal candidates will project a positive attitude, be polite and respectful, show good judgment, and practice good office ethics. *This role requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. *Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. *Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
