JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Northeast Center of Excellence for Pavement Technology (NECEPT) is seeking a responsible part-time administrative assistant to perform a variety of tasks to support their certification-related activities.
This will be a hybrid in-person/remote position for 20 hours per week with the possibility of an increase to 30 hours per week for short-term periods, depending on the workflow.
The administrative assistant will help NECEPT support and administer certification programs and related training courses for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, in the areas of asphalt and concrete pavements as well as aggregates. The individual hired in this position reports to NECEPT’s Director and supports NECEPT’s Education Program Coordinator.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Post payments to applications
Process course and certification renewal applications
Assist with monitoring online courses in Zoom and online exams in Canvas
Provide technical support to course attendees and instructors
Compile Zoom attendance reports
Assist in preparing the course materials
Update technician information in an Access database
Answer emails and calls regarding NECEPT courses and certifications
Mail certificates and certification cards
File applications
Maintain counts of cards and certificates mailed
Education and Experience: A high school diploma/GED or Vocational training degree is required. Additional specialized training beyond the high school level is desired.
Other qualifications include:
Attention to detail
Interpersonal and customer service skills - Experience providing technical support to those not computer-literate is very beneficial.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Zoom
Experience conducting online meetings
Basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Access
