Over the past twenty years, Fandango has built a network of direct-to-consumer digital brands, where 50 million+ fans unite to celebrate their love for movies, TV and streaming.  We take pride in serving fans throughout their entertainment journey from content discovery to theatrical moviegoing to watching at home. Our portfolio includes leading online movie ticketer, Fandango (https://www.fandango.com/) , which tickets for more than 31,000 U.S. movie screens; world-renowned entertainment review site, Rotten Tomatoes (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/) ; and Fandango at Home (https://www.vudu.com/?from=fnow) (previously known as Vudu), the on-demand streaming service offering the industry’s best selection of 4K UHD titles and more than 250,000 new release and catalogue movies and next day TV shows. 

The VP of Marketing will lead the Integrated Marketing team, working cross-functionally to drive marketing campaigns, go-to-market capabilities, and partnership opportunities for the Fandango business. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented with an ability to handle multiple projects at once and prioritize within a fast-paced work environment. Excellent communication skills are a necessity.

The three major areas of focus will be:

Studios – This leader will work closely with all major studios on a daily basis to drive partnership marketing opportunities around theatrical and at home releases.  Frequent polished communication and interaction with Executive, C-Suite and movie studios will be expected.   

Exhibitors – This leader will help drive conversations with all exhibitors around ticketing opportunities for theatrical releases.  Coordinating these efforts alongside the studio initiatives is a key element to success in this role. 

Brand – This leader will lead all brand efforts for the businesses under the Fandango umbrella including; Fandango, Fandango @ Home, and Rotten Tomatoes.

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Develop comprehensive business plans including strategy, business case, marketing and budgets for all Fandango brands

  • Adopt a consumer-centric approach to product planning by identifying, analyzing and prioritizing user/segment needs

  • Collaborate with Product Management and Technology teams to refine the product value proposition and positioning

  • Create and execute strategies and marketing initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, product adoption and market leadership

  • Lead the go-to-market strategies for dynamic product initiatives that span across multiple areas of the viewer-experience

  • Partner with Consumer Insights to better understand our customers and industry, including competitive information to drive appropriate messaging and competitive positioning as well as insights that contribute to long-term product planning

  • Partner with Analytics and Finance to build annual product P&L

  • Establish KPIs for product launches and rollouts in alignment with product leads

  • Enable ongoing connectivity between Product teams and other key stakeholders

  • Key KPIs/Measurement: NPS, revenue, penetration etc.

Basic Requirements:

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, specifically in partnerships and / or brand marketing

  • Demonstrable marketing experience in the media / entertainment industry

  • Demonstrable hands-on experience working alongside a development (physical or digital) product team

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to execute against multiple, high-priority projects

  • Proven leader with a positive attitude, interpersonal skills who thrives in a collaborative work environment

  • Ability to work with cross functional teams to develop consensus within diverse groups and drive results

  • Strong client orientation and consultative approach combined with a proven record of excellent program/project management and stakeholder management

  • Movie Studio experience is preferred.

  • Ticketing experience in or outside of the movie industry is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the Los Angeles office a minimum of three days per week.
