NBC Universal Digital Creative Products Internships – Summer 2025 in Universal City, California

In addition to all of our internships being paid, we will also offer the following for our Summer 2025 interns:

Universal City: 

At our Universal City office interns will have access to the NBCUCommutes program, which provides fully subsidized transit passes to full-time lower lot employees, good for unlimited rides on all Metro bus and rail, such as the Metro Red Line. 

Summer 2025 Recruitment Timeline:   

  • November 4 – December 6: Applications Open (may close early due to applicant volume)  

  • Mid November – Late December: First round video interviews   

  • Mid – Late January: Second round interviews  

  • Late January – February: Selected candidates receive offers

Summer 2025 Internship Program: 

  • Applications Close: December 6th at 11:59pm ET. Pro Tip: Submit your application as soon as possible – applications could close earlier due to applicant volume!  

  • Program Dates: June 2 – August 8, 2025 

  • Time Commitment: 40 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need.  

  • Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from Universal City, CA.

Content Distribution (CDG) is a division of NBCUniversal that drives the North American distribution of the company’s multi-billion dollar television portfolio to cable, satellite and telco providers, as well as live streaming services, and other digital platforms.  

A key revenue-generator, the division oversees the distribution of NBC and Telemundo owned stations, all of NBCUniversal’s cable entertainment, news and sports networks, NBCUniversal’s DTC service, Peacock, and the Olympics.  

Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: 

Digital Creative Products: The Content Distribution Digital Products is responsible for driving consumption, monetization, and brand presence for NBCUniversal programming across distributor digital products. As television and digital come together, we’re designing for the future with our viewers in mind. As a Digital Products intern, you will get to see how the Product team works with NBCU brands and teams across Content Distribution, learn how decisions are made, and gain insight into how products are developed for our audiences. 

Basic Requirements: 

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (June 2025 through August 2025). May 2025 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2025 Internship Program. 

  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits). 

  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States. 

  • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA. 

For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.  

NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company, requiring all employees to have an active Social Security number. Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.   

Desired Characteristics: 

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred. 

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

  • Experience with UX or interested in UX, streaming platforms Product Design, and Service Design. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.. 

  • Go getter attitude with desire to take on new projects. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft office, PowerPoint. 

  • Knowledge of reporting tool Mixpanel a plus. 

The hourly rate for undergraduate student interns is $17.50 

The hourly rate for graduate student interns is $25.00 

The hourly rate for MBA student interns is $25.00
