THE WORK

Tasking includes managing all aspects of Fleet Documentation and Cybersecurity efforts across the Trident Program including customer interfacing, coordination between functional technical teams and management (PM and EPM) of each Trident Program, prioritization of efforts, project management, metrics, and risk management. This role will provide technical direction to the engineering team across multiple sites including subcontractors, through all aspects of the systems development lifecycle. This will require establishment of milestones with clear definitions, plans that align with allocated budget and schedule, identification and management of program risks and opportunities, all while supporting program management and customer expectations. The selected candidate will be an organized, experienced, strong technical leader, an effective communicator, and a creative problem solver with the ability to ensure development efforts meet all specific technical requirements and mission needs. Experience in product development and leading diverse multifunctional teams of engineers, suppliers, quality, and manufacturing team members through all programmatic phases is required. Experience in Control Account Management is highly desirable, especially demonstrated aptitude as a CAM on SSP contracts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this position, the candidate is responsible for technical, cost, and schedule performance primarily in support of the Trident development contracts. The Fleet Documentation and Cybersecurity EPM will work with the Chief Engineer to develop, review, and approve program and project metrics, manage integrated master schedules, and support internal and external program reviews. The EPM is responsible for ensuring technical decisions are effectively communicated to production and sustainment teams to manage impacts and weigh future lifecycle impacts into technical decisions during development. .This position requires presenting at both internal and external meetings, with government officials, LM senior managers, Chief Engineers from various organizations, and various technical teams.

You will work effectively throughout the RMS E&T organization, both vertically and horizontally, to build strong working team relationships in advancing product deliverables that meet program and customer expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree along with 9 years of professional experience, or a related 7 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.

- Theoretical and practical experience with system level development, design, test, and verification to an approved requirements baseline.

- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, capable of contributing to bids and proposal developments and excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

- Mastery of Control Account Management (CAM).

- Strong history of successfully bringing products from development through engineering test and production while balancing budget, schedule, and technical considerations.

- Ability to obtain and maintain at least a Secret level security clearance.

Desired Skills:

- Familiarity with DoD and specifically SSP contracting activities and acquisition lifecycle

- Demonstrate strong project management fundamentals and principles

- Familiarity with Fleet Documentation development and deployment lifecycle and process

- Familiarity with Cybersecurity for tactical, trainer, auxiliary, and enterprise systems

- Strong background in the operation and design of the Navigation Subsystem, including the SSI Increment 8 baseline and associated inertial navigator

- Possess detailed knowledge, analytical skills, and hands-on experience with oversight of electronic system design, test, verification, and production

- Ability to thrive in a multitasking environment, supporting multiple efforts simultaneously

- Understands and has experience with SSP goals, organizational, and reporting structure

- Demonstrates ability to communicate with internal and external customers effectively

- Ability to concisely communicate concerns and make decisions quickly to senior leadership.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $105,000 - $201,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $120,700 - $227,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
