POSTION: BSA Analyst

WORK LOCATION: 220 RXR Plaza, Uniondale, New York 11556

WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday 8:45am 5:00pm

General Statement of Duties:

Assist the BSA Officer and the BSA Management team with all BSA and AML functions.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

o Review and analyze monthly Alerts/Cases flagged as potentially suspicious. o Analyze OFAC: (Office of Foreign Assets Control) alerts. o Investigate and draft Suspicious Activity Reports. o Conduct due diligence searches in various third-party and internal databases. o Assist with compliance of USA PATRIOT Act requirements relating to certain of the Banks business units. o Assist with identifying, assessing, and reviewing high/medium risk accounts. o Monitor and review Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs). o Apply strong analytical skills in the assessment of KYC and BSA data. o Maintain technical proficiency in monitoring systems under the control of the department. o May be called upon to conduct user acceptance testing of all software releases under the control of the department. o Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures. o Perform additional accountabilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

o Bachelors Degree, or comparable education and/or experience required.
o Requires knowledge of regulatory obligations under the Bank Secrecy Act, FinCEN, OFAC and experience with SARs from a banking perspective.
o Branch or Operations experience a plus.
o 1 to 2 years of experience in the AML/BSA and or Fraud department preferred. CAMS certification a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

o Requires discretion to handle confidential and sensitive material.
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written skills required.
o Must be able to work with all levels of management and staff.
o Requires proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet based applications.

Pay Range: $50,000 - $53,000

Hours: 37.50

This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime if the hours worked are over 40 hours. The actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience and other factors permitted by law.
