BLN24 is looking for a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

The Senior Systems Engineer will lead the design, development, and integration of complex data systems and support critical development efforts, including prototyping, testing, and maintaining high-performance solutions. Also, the Senior Systems Engineer will lead in systems design, manage business process improvements, and guide teams through technical implementations. The Senior Systems Engineer will apply extensive expertise in system architecture to evaluate various approaches, improve workflows, and optimize data flows across the system.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, prototyping, development, testing, and integration of complex information systems.

  • Develop functional and technical designs for information systems, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

  • Supervise or lead teams in software design, coding, system integration, and troubleshooting.

  • Roadmap and support critical development processes for system architecture and data flow.

  • Oversee the design and management of data flows, ensuring proper system inputs and outputs, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and improve system business processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending alternative approaches. 

  • Create and maintain documentation, including design documents, user manuals, and technical training programs for new system developers and users.

  • Conduct quality reviews to ensure deliverables meet specified standards and best practices.

  • Perform workflow analyses to optimize system efficiency.

  • Design, develop, test and deploy machine learning models integrated with broader system architectures.

  • Provide subject matter expertise to guide decision-making on alternative technical approaches.

  • Provide leadership, support, and mentoring to junior team members, ensuring collaborative and high-performing development efforts.

  • Design and manage project work plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery.

    Required Skills/Abilities & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in system design, data processing, and software development.

  • Strong programming skills in both SQL and Python, with demonstrated experience in data manipulation, automation, and analysis.

  • Proficiency in designing and creating impactful data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

  • Strong background in managing data flows, including designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines for system inputs and outputs.

  • Ability to design, develop, test, and integrate machine learning models into system operations, optimizing performance for specific use cases.

  • Solid understanding of core machine learning algorithms and statistical models, with experience implementing them in real-world scenarios.

  • Proficiency in performing workflow analyses and developing functional and technical designs for information systems, with a focus on performance and scalability.

  • Expertise in evaluating system business processes and offering insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Hands-on experience with prototyping systems, testing functionality, and resolving technical issues.

  • Proven ability to support road-mapping and critical development.

  • Ability to participate in quality reviews and ensure work complies with coding standards and best practices.

  • Experience creating comprehensive technical documentation and training programs for both developers and end-users.

  • Proven ability to supervise or lead software development teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
