Where is the work:

This position has been designated as hybrid in Tyler, Texas

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of hardware engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

  • Oversee the entire hardware development lifecycle, from concept to production.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, product management, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of hardware components and assemblies.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities for team members.

  • Stay current with the latest advancements in hardware technology and incorporate relevant innovations into projects.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the development process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in hardware engineering, with some experience in a managerial or leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of hardware design principles, including PCB layout, circuit design, and embedded systems.

  • Proficiency in hardware development tools and software, such as CAD, EDA, and simulation tools.

  • Experience with regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in designing electronics for HVAC or industrial products.

  • Experience designing for supply chain resiliency and product sustainment.

  • Knowledge of power electronics and experience mitigating EMC issues

Key Competencies:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering hardware projects on time and within budget.

  • Deep understanding of hardware design, development, and testing processes.

  • Ability to ensure that hardware solutions meet or exceed customer expectations.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $

Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
