SUMMARY

Responsible for the sanitation and release of all manufacturing machinery. This ensures timely start-ups of manufacturing and adherence to HACCP regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Responsible for the daily cleaning of raw and finished goods processing and packaging departments.

· Meet company and Government regulated specifications by cleaning and sanitizing machines to ensure that morning production crews can start on time. This may include tasks such as prioritizing, planning and moving quickly and steadily through sanitation duties.

· Spray machine parts and equipment with cleaners, sanitizers and hoses.

· Mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, and other compounds, according to formulas to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing.

· Pre-soak or rinse machine parts or equipment by immersing objects in cleaning solutions or water, manually.

· Turn valves or handles on equipment in order to regulate pressure and flow of water, air, steam, or abrasives from sprayer nozzles.

· Press buttons to activate cleaning equipment or machines.

· Inspect parts and equipment for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.

· Responsible for performing job duties in compliance with all GMP’s and following all company safety standards.

Schedule: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school education; at least 6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement and quantity measurements.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
