Warehouse Team Lead-First Shift Summary: The warehouse team lead will be the front line leader for the warehouse staff ensuring processes are followed and tasks are delegated. The warehouse team lead will coordinate workflow, maintain service levels to internal customers, and serve as the primary trainer for the warehouse team. Duties & Responsibilities: Maintain processes for receiving, organizing, segregating, identifying and storing all inventory materials located in all active warehouses. Maintain accuracy of material management system (SAP) for tracking on hand quantities of all materials within warehouse. Maintain system (Syteline) to track material consumption by job order and various other requested transactions. Responsible for maintaining all warehouse locations in a neat and organized fashion. Support the material ordering process as needed. Inform appropriate personnel (Production Control/ Logistics Manager) in the event of inventory discrepancies in the warehouse. Perform other duties as needed to maintain the accuracy and organization of the warehouse. Ensure PCI requirements are being properly followed. Count, audit, and record incoming material into material management system (SAP). Label with correct bin number and location number. Issue production material to shop floor based on order demands Maintain close working relationship with Production staff and planners. Communicate timely and professionally across various levels of the business. Move merchandise by hand, hand truck, or forklift equipment to maintain continuous flow of merchandise. May be responsible for the unloading and stocking of incoming merchandise, picking of outgoing merchandise and loading of outbound trailers. Resolve problems or discrepancies with help from immediate supervisor. Ensure safety techniques are used in all aspects of daily work responsibilities. Participate in physical inventories both yearly and cycle count. Lead and train team members. Maintain flexibility with work hours and work assignments understanding that lead responsibilities will regularly require additional hours or changes to scheduled hours. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications & Skills: 5+ years' warehouse experience required High School Diploma or GED required Must be familiar with ERP Systems (SAP preferred) Knowledge of inventory management procedures. Strong written and oral communication skills; must be able to read, comprehend, and write correspondence and reports in English; must be able to communicate with multiple levels of staff throughout the organization. Effective organizational skills, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Effective analytical ability with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Proficiency with computer technology applications that support the materials planning and procurement process (i.e. ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite). Physical ability to move inventory material as needed. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. Able to stand on concrete for long periods of time. Able to operate pallet jack and forklift.
