Job Description
Location: Twinsburg Job purpose: The Program Manager works in cooperation with other program managers as part of the program team led by a local Senior Program Manager. The Senior Program Manager allocates the management of one (or more) of the programs in her/his scope to the program manager. During Bid and proposal phase (PROMPT S1 to S2 milestone), the program manager supports the bid process. The program manager validates recurring cost (RC) and non-recurring costs (NRC) estimates and associated assumptions to ensure the delivery of a sound business case at the contract award (PROMPT S3 milestone).
After contract award (PROMPT S3 milestone), the Program Manager is accountable for achieving program objectives until the retirement from service (PROMPT S12 milestone). This requires ensuring the global coordination of all activities in order to:
•Manage customer satisfaction •Lead customer communication. •Be accountable that all contract is respected, lead all change of scope and guarantee the profitability of business plan •Ensure efficient steering of a program, Build the program level MTP with support from the business, Monitor program performance •Ensure that the development/design phase is implemented in conformity with the contract. •Guarantee that the development schedule is in line with the contract •Organize program reviews (and PROMPT milestone for program in development or in service) and leads program status meetings internally and with the customer; •Manage the cross-functional and multicultural integrated program team (IPT) in charge of the project. •Assess program-related risks, anticipate and manage difficulties in advance. •Implement specific methods to analyze and process risks, based on quantitative and qualitative risk assessment. •Ensure deployment of efficient corrective action in case of any drift on a program •Support Program audit on a program where required •Participate in the improvement of the program process •Ensure the smooth transition to serial production by coordinating upstream industrialization. Produce and maintain manufacturability of the system, monitoring the supply chain for any risks or issues •In production activities, monitor any technical or engineering issues from the customer and coordinate activities with the through life support engineering group •Other duties may be assigned; •Regular, predictable attendance is required. During any R&T phase (Internal R&D), when coordinating an R&T program, the program manager is responsible for setting associated schedule, milestones and budget.
