Aerotek Maintenance Technician in TWINSBURG, Ohio

Maintenance Technician | $30+HR | Shift: 1st & 2nd |

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves repairing and maintaining all aspects of our production facility, with a focus on both mechanical and electrical repairs. The technician will start by performing preventative maintenance to learn the equipment, and will gradually take on more complex tasks including troubleshooting and fixing machinery breakdowns.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain all aspects of the production facility.

  • Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, with work split 50% mechanical and 50% electrical.

  • Start with preventative maintenance to learn equipment, potentially for up to 4-5 months.

  • Maintain and repair various types of machinery including automated machinery, mills, compression machines, conveyors, industrial washers and dryers, mixer machines, injection mold machines, presses, dies, and CNC machines.

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete work orders as scheduled.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, including PLCs.

  • Work with hydraulic pumps and proxy switches.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines.

  • Assist with facilities maintenance and installations as needed.

  • Follow all safety guidelines.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • Experience with 480v electrical systems.

  • Electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with PLCs.

  • Experience in rubber, plastics, or extrusion.

  • Electrical wiring experience.

  • Computer skills for working with presses and Siemens PLCs.

  • Ability to troubleshoot programs and handle electrical breakdowns.

  • Leadership, supervision, and management skills.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a modern facility with various types of machinery and equipment. Open shifts are available, and candidates must be open to working 6 days a week with 8-12 hours of overtime, including one mandatory weekend day. Training will be provided on the 1st shift for 4-6 months, with mandatory Saturdays. Shifts available are 2nd shift (3-11 PM) and 3rd shift (11-7 AM).
