Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Tustin, California

Description We are in search of a Senior Accountant to join our team in Tustin, California. This role involves preparing financial statements, verifying financial records and transactions, analyzing cash flow, reviewing budgets and forecasts, overseeing audits, and developing paperwork for regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and principles

• Verify financial records and transactions to maintain the integrity of the financial data within the organization

• Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to benchmark against the company’s actual performance

• Review budgets and forecasts, working closely with various departments to align financial goals across the organization

• Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring all financial operations are compliant with federal and state regulations

• Develop paperwork for regulatory reporting, ensuring all documents are accurately prepared and submitted in a timely manner

• Perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of all financial data

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial data is recorded accurately and in a timely manner

• Prepare journal entries, ensuring all financial data is updated and reconciled

• Utilize Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and other software to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tasks. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 2 years of experience in a senior accountant role or similar

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Solid understanding of general ledger management and journal entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with month-end close procedures

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• CPA or CMA certification is an asset but not required

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the job is located.
