Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE:

Provides technical expertise in Computed Axial Tomography procedures in accordance with the mission and philosophy

of CHI St Alexius Health.

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Perform high quality imaging procedures in both Xray and CT. Evaluates Xray images

and scans for technical quality. Demonstrates proficiency and accuracy in performance

of all exam protocols.

  1. Obtain radiographs and CT images of various body parts; having knowledge of patient

positioning for all exams.

  1. Evaluates imaging orders for contrast use. Have proper knowledge of how and when

contrast material will be administered, operate power injector for contrast administration,

and dispense oral contrast, proficient in IV placement for contrast.

  1. Works to ensure quality patient care standards and radiation safety practices are met.

  2. Maintains accurate patient records for all procedures performed, maintaining patient

confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA standards.

  1. Monitors assigned inventory expiration dates and levels. Make sure the CT room is

properly stocked. Maintains a clean, neat work area with proper disinfectants.

  1. Proficiently performs EKG.

  2. Share on call duties with the other Radiology Technologist.

  3. Performs routine maintenance checks to ensure proper equipment operation.

  4. Assists the Radiology Manager (Supervisor) with gathering QA data and make

suggestions for future QA indicators.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology and

registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of

Radiologic Technology. Current ND State License. Bachelor’s degree in

Radiologic Technology preferred. Ongoing CT specified education

including radiation protection and minimization of patient radiation

exposure.

Preference given for 1 year clinical experience

Computer and Clerical Skills, Radiographic and patient care skills

obtained at an approved School of Radiologic Technology. Effective

communication skills, Prior Epic experience helpful

PREFERRED Education and/or Experience

Basic Life Support Certification (CPR- Healthcare Provider) within 480

hours of employment and meets re-certification as required.

ACLS

Licensure: Registered Radiologic / Computed Tomography

Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology

ND state Licensure NDMIRT.

Preference given to applicants with CT registration.

Pay Range

$22.92 - $30.65 /hour
