One Gas Summer 2025 Field Operations Intern- Tulsa, OK in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) Field Operations Interns are given the opportunity to experience the type of work they might encounter in a full-time position through on-the-job assignments and job shadowing. ONG Field Operations internships exposes students to most areas of Field Operations through a fourteen-week rotational program which may include Pressure Control & Measurement, Cathodic Protection, Leak Survey, Customer Service, Engineering, Line Locating, Transmission Compliance and Operating etc.

Work assignments are anticipated to be in Tulsa, OK.

Position Requirements:

What You Will Do

  • Participate in job shadowing of identified company personnel to become familiar with business unit operations and job functions.

  • Observe pipeline construction, installation, maintenance and removal work on transmission and distribution pipelines.

  • Participate in work related to customer service field and compliance activities.

  • Become familiar with business unit organizational hierarchy, reporting structure and operating procedures.

  • Review applicable Federal, State, and local guidelines and regulations as relative to business operations.

  • Participate in team building activities with fellow interns, within office and field settings.

  • Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

  • Lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds 10 - 15 times a day; up to 40 pounds 7 - 10 times a day; over 50 pounds 5 - 6 times a day.

  • Climb into and out of excavations.

  • Travel over uneven terrain including but not limited to:

  • Mud

  • Gravel

  • Sand

  • Rocks

  • Ice

  • Snow

  • React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.

  • Detect and react to warning signals at work sites.

  • Communicate and/or exchange information and instructions including company email and/or cell phones.

  • Peripheral vision and accurate depth perception.

  • Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.

What You Will Need

Students enrolled in the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology Pipeline Integrity Technology program or Instrumentation Engineering Technology program who are interested in a career in a dynamic and exciting industry, may be considered for a Summer 2025 internship.

Prefer involvement in extracurricular and community support activities demonstrating leadership. Prior work experience (entrepreneurial activities, internships, summer or part-time work while attending school, etc.).

Timeline

We are recruiting interns beginning in late September. Interviews follow campus career fairs. Offers are typically extended to students by late November.

Compensation : All ONE Gas internship positions are paid. We offer a fair and competitive pay rate.

Housing Assistance : Based on the location of your assignment vs. your college and/or primary residence, you may be eligible to receive housing assistance.

Projected Internship Dates : Mon, May 5, 2025 – Fri, Aug 1, 2025

Hours Per Week : 40 hours per week
