Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Description

The HVAC Technician oversees all aspects of the scope of work by guiding others to complete the job. The technician installs, maintains, and repairs heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential customers. This role involves diagnosing and repairing electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems. The technician also ensures quality workmanship and customer satisfaction while growing the company's footprint through good customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for commercial and residential customers.

• Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems.

• Travel to job sites in the service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedules are maintained.

• Be available to work nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, for emergency service needs.

• Maintain company vehicle, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, and completing monthly inspections.

• Drive company truck to and from job sites.

• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.

• Understand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoices on-site.

• Obtain customer signatures upon job completion.

• Document all installed equipment, including make, model, serial number, type of fuel, test measurements, and necessary pictures.

• Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain replacement parts, calibrate systems, and explain issues to customers.

• Participate in company-provided training on the latest industry technologies.

• Identify and report potential opportunities for additional business.

• Direct daily work activities of helpers and manage their performance with the help of HR and the Service Manager.

• Train and develop helpers on the job, recognizing the need for additional training.

• Maintain working knowledge of all necessary equipment and processes.

• Ensure client satisfaction on every job.

• Ensure compliance with all safety rules and monitor field staff for adherence to safety regulations.

• Complete and maintain all safety training and requirements.

• Prepare and compile necessary reports, including incident reports and service work orders.

• Maintain accurate time records and complete all administrative work as needed.

• Ensure job site is left clean and in order.

• Ensure the quality of work meets the highest standards.

• Participate in required meetings and continuing education opportunities.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Duties are performed at various job sites, including residential homes, large commercial sites, and schools. The work environment can be loud and involves working near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor conditions, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Safety gear is required as per management’s discretion. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional Saturdays and variable start and end times per job. Overtime and weekend work are expected, and the position frequently requires long hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract-to-hire position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00
