Description:\ Support the District by providing guidance and assistance to front-line clients in employee recruiting, staffing, and ensure employees possess the necessary skills to contribute to the organization\'s mission.\ \ Essential Functions:
- Oversee the hiring process, including creating job postings, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and conducting pre-employment screenings.
- Ensure accuracy of position lists, descriptions, and related documentation to support staffing needs and maintain compliance with Board policy.
- Develop, update and maintain competency-based interview guides for use within the District and provide support for effective use of the guides within Tulsa Tech.
- Support new employee onboarding by assisting with tasks such as conducting New Hire Orientation, new hire paperwork, background checks, and E-Verify. Follow up with hiring managers and/or new hires to ensure all necessary information is complete.
- Maintain HRIS system and personnel files to ensure compliance with records in accordance with Tulsa Tech policies.
- Assist HR Manager with District Drug Testing Program, in compliance with Board policy and state law, serving as resource for supervisors and liaison with third party administrator.
- Work cooperatively and effectively with peers in Payroll, Benefits and other District departments for the benefit of external and internal customers.
- Greet and assist walk-ins, answer phones, as needed to address employee questions, always representing the department professionally.
- Assist with collecting data and reports for internal audits.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions regarding the provision of services to internal and external customers and in day-to-day operations of the department in accordance with Tulsa Tech polices and Federal and State laws.
- Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulations and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
Job Requirements:
- This position requires a minimum of 3 years experience working in an office setting. Experience working in Human Resources is preferred.
- Associates degree or higher preferred.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus.
