Endweld Operator

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for an Endweld Operator. This position will be responsible for the operation of the end weld equipment of the tube mill to insure continuous operation during the shift. This will be a 1st shift position - Mon thru Thurs, 5 am to 3:30 pm.

What you will be doing:

Safety, quality, priorities above all

Focus on the keeping the mill operational

Maintain clean, safe ,organized work area, 5S

Cross Training of team members on parts programming and mill set ups

TPM of process and equipment in the area

Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor

Perform weld of slit coils that are process capable

Minimize scrap, down time

Work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner

The skills and experience you need:

High School diploma or GED Equivalent

Experience with overhead crane, and forklift

Experience in using measuring devices, micrometer, calipers, tape measure.

Experience with welding and weld equipment functions.

Demonstrate ability to meet negotiated time frames

Strong mathematical skills, to understand steel needs for the mill schedule.

Good mechanical aptitude

Hand tool experience grinder, hammer, screw drivers etc.

This role is located in Tulsa, OK.
