JOB SUMMARY

ONEOK is looking for a Data and Reporting Specialist who preferably has at least 6-8 years of experience with software development, report authoring, and data analysis. Experience working with stakeholders to solicit requirements and writing SQL queries is critical to this role. Experience with a Data Catalog and Master Data Management (MDM) tools is preferred.

This position has been approved for remote work within an approved state or within 90 miles of Tulsa, OK. Candidates available to work a 3 day onsite / 2-day remote hybrid work schedule in Tulsa will be given priority.

Job Profile Summary

Lead role responsible for implementing and enhancing the Data Catalog and Master Data Management (MDM) systems, and broadly supporting ONEOK’s Data Governance program. The Data Catalog duties require customizing the look-and-feel of the Catalog system, working with the product vendor to fix bugs, and publicizing the Catalog to data stewards. The MDM duties require investigating data quality issues, tuning matching and merging settings, and creating data models and user interfaces within the MDM system.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Consult with stakeholders and data stewards about the priorities, complexities and other impacts of adding new content to the Data Governance systems.

  • Create both technical and non-technical plans to add content and make system changes to the Data Governance systems, and then execute the plan.

  • Identify and develop business process flows, glossary terms, data catalog entries, data models, data lineage and data-flows.

  • Partner with subject-matter experts to validate accuracy and consistency of data, and drive efforts to monitor data quality. Provide solutions to improve the data quality and content.

  • Develop training materials and other content that supports the use of data governance applications, data visualization technologies and other data and reporting tools.

  • Assist with development and maintenance of data governance best practices and documentation while also researching emerging data governance industry trends and best practices.

  • Work, with general supervision, across multiple teams to participate in and to lead projects with well-defined scope while fostering strong relationships. Propose and maintain project endeavors, develop plans and reports, monitor and communicate project status to stakeholders.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other related field with specific job-related experience as follows:

Experience

  • Experience with report authoring, querying database management systems, and hands-on experience writing SQL code.

  • Experience in business or process analysis, software development lifecycle and change management techniques including identification of potential process solutions.

  • Experience in applying project management techniques.

  • Experience with data catalogs and/or MDM software is a plus.

$101,000.00 - $151,000.00
