Providence St. Joseph Health Customer Service Representative *Remote* in Tukwila, Washington
Description The Customer Service Representative/Relations Specialist plays a key role in problem-solving customer concerns related to contract provider payments for housing and claim status/inquiries from hospitals, specialists and nursing homes. Handles a large volume of inbound and outbound phone calls/emails/faxes from participants/their families, nursing homes, housing providers, providers, hospitals and billing offices. Will research payment issues, help identify solutions and responds to customers in an efficient and always in a professional, patience and people-first attitude manner, demonstrating excellent spoken and written customer service skills. Other administrative tasks will be to enter new enrollees, enter new auth referrals for hospitals/nursing homes/home care, update participant demographics, insurance, sending and receiving correspondence and other data entry tasks. Required Qualifications: upon hire: In compliance with the Department of Human Services (DHS), a criminal background check is required for this position, based on assigned duties. 5 years Managing high volume customer service inbound and outbound calls in a health care setting, referral entry, handle correspondence, payment and claim inquiries from housing and billing companies. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Health Care, Customer Service, Business, Accounting or related field. Or equivalent educ/experience. Experience with computerized spreadsheet application, managed care payment systems, Epic, QuickBooks Pro software or other business accounting software, MS Office products. Why Join Providence?
