CNC Lathe Machinist

Pay: $25-33/hr

Shift: All shifts available!

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Lathe Machinist to set up and operate a CNC Index Multispindle for medium-high volume production. This role involves notifying the supervisor of any abnormal situations for corrective action, making recommendations for improvements in methods of performance, maintaining good housekeeping conditions, enforcing safety practices, and completing required documentation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a CNC Index Multispindle for medium-high volume production.

• Notify supervisor of abnormal situations for corrective action.

• Make recommendations for improvements in work performance methods.

• Maintain good housekeeping conditions and enforce safety practices.

• Complete and maintain any required documentation.

• Participate in PCC Corporate Safety Training.

Essential Skills

• Strong Geometric Dimensional & Tolerances and math skills.

• Ability to read machining CNC programs and understand common 'G' and 'M' codes.

• Experience with Siemens controls for lathe machine tools.

• Understanding of basic tabletop gages – Micrometers, Calipers, thread gages, bore micrometers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferably from a trade school or AJAC with a strong desire to learn and grow with the company.

• Manual machining and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with manual mill/lathe.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organization and time management skills.

• Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills.

Work Environment

Work in an aerospace machine workshop with Mori cell CNC machines. There are two shift options available: weekend graveyard (Friday-Sunday from 5pm to 5:30am) and weekday graveyard (Monday-Thursday from 5pm to 5:30am).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tukwila, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00
