Description

Our client, in the financial industry, is in need for a Staff Accountant to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis! This role would be towards the north-side of Tucson, and will be on-site. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in the finance team, working closely with other team members to maintain financial records and ensure financial operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the accounting team to balance out the ledgers

• Manage cash flows and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded

• Identify and reconcile any discrepancies in financial records

• Prepare and process journal entries within the ledger

• Oversee credit deposits to ensure they are correctly accounted for

• Utilize accounting software and MS Excel

• Assist in month-end close procedures to ensure timely reporting

• Work on Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks as needed

• Carry out bank reconciliations to verify our financial records match with bank statements

• Maintain a professional and organized work environment within your designated workspace.

Requirements

• Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field - preferred, however open to candidates with experience in full cycle accounting

•- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of General Ledger maintenance

• Capability to prepare and post Journal Entries

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
