The Systems Engineering Design & Architecture (SDA) organization is currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Transition to Production (T2P) Systems Engineering Lead to support the Romania CDS and LEM redesign programs as part of NSM, leading both efforts through successful production transitions. As the T2P Systems Engineering Lead, you will manage and guide the test, verification, and systems engineering teams to ensure timely and successful testing and qualification of the LEM. You will drive critical activities across various functions to ensure a smooth transition to production for the Romania CDS program. Additionally, you will lead systems engineering efforts for acceptance testing, collaborating with the KDA and managing integration activities to ensure successful product validation.

What You Will do:

  • Lead the Romania CDS and LEM redesign programs from development to production

  • Manage and guide test, verification, and systems engineers to ensure timely and successful qualification of the LEM system

  • Oversee the transition of Romania CDS program into production, ensuring all necessary systems artifacts and acceptance test activities are developed and completed

  • Lead critical chain activities across multiple functions to drive successful T2P efforts, ensuring alignment with program milestones and requirements and that risks are mitigated

  • Provide technical leadership during the integration, testing, and qualification phases, ensuring that all milestones are met

  • Ensure close collaboration with the program and project management teams to ensure that program requirements and objectives are achieved on time

  • Ensure close collaboration with Global Trade to maintain a culture of EXIM compliance throughout the Romania CDS program execution

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and Eight (8) years of engineering experience OR an advanced degree in a related field and five (5) years’ engineering experience

  • Experience in systems engineering, test/verification, and managing the transition of systems to production

  • Experience with requirements management and test/qualification processes

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of managing key stakeholder relationships

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks across various phases of the program

  • Ability to work in a global, fast-paced, and dynamic environment

  • Familiarity with system integration, verification, and acceptance testing procedures

  • Knowledge of the Romania CDS program or similar international systems engineering efforts

  • Experience with aerospace, defense, or complex systems integration programs

  • Proficiency in managing critical path activities and working with cross-functional teams to drive program success

  • Prior experience managing or guiding teams in the transition from design to production

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
