Our Technology Center is home to a team of globally recognized engineers and scientists who provide innovative mining, processing and environmental solutions to our operations throughout the world. Employees provide direct support in a variety of areas: mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, analytical chemistry, mineralogy, process economics, mining and geology.

What You Will Do

• Prepare samples for analysis using appropriate techniques and performs sample preparation for quality control program.

• Perform routine chemical and/or metallurgical analysis and reporting.

• Maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.

• Assist in laboratory personnel training.

• Perform other duties as required.

What You Bring To Freeport

• One (1) year of direct lab experience OR

• Associates related degree which includes six (6) months related lab experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of lab equipment, lab protocols and techniques appropriate to

• assigned areas.

• Demonstrated ability to train others in particular area of lab.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience (1+ years) in mineralogical or testing laboratory

• Familiarity with digestion and leaching test

• High School diploma, GED or AA Degree

• Experience with mathematic and/or numbers-based tasks

• Experience with chemical sample preparation and/or laboratory analytical equipment

• Ability to follow detailed, technical instructions

• Experience with tedious or repetitive motions or tasks

• Strong organizational and documentation skills

• Strong proficiency using MS Excel to develop and maintain spreadsheets reports, and other documentation

*What We Offer You *

The estimated pay range for this role is currently  $23.00 - $31.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
