Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity in Tucson, Arizona for a skilled Staff Accountant.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and completing month-end close processes.

• Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including processing invoices and recording payments.

• Assist with tax filings, regulatory compliance, and external or internal audit preparations by gathering necessary financial documentation.

• Support management with budgeting and forecasting efforts by providing financial insights and data analysis.

• Utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite) to manage financial records and streamline accounting processes.

• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.

• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger accounting, financial statements, or accounts payable/receivable.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ability to apply them effectively.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
