As our Aquatics Manager, your number one purpose is to assist in creating a fun and professional environment, one that will provide our customers and swimmers with a fantastic learning experience! You will work closely with the Owner and our swim instructors to help shape our school’s culture and commitment to running a premier program. You will play a big role in helping recruit new customers and instructors to the school to build retention to keep people happy.

The Position:

The Aquatics Manager position with British Swim School E. Atlanta-Decatur-Norcross will drive our mission “To ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to become a safe and happy swimmer.”

In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Aquatics Program. The Aquatics Manager is responsible for ensuring that all parents and swimmers receive an experience that is of the absolute highest quality. This is a customer-facing position. You will be responsible for the safety of the entire pool staff, the patrons, and swimmers in the area you cover.

Requirements

• A passionate, fun, vibrant personality & a desire to learn and run the British Swim School program (we provide training in all areas of the program).

• Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, work independently.

• Strong customer service and leadership skills.

• Be fully available on the days you work with a flexible evening and weekend schedule with the expectation of being physically poolside 3-5 days a week (we are a Swim School :)

Your Typical Responsibilities:

• Creating and fostering a positive culture of high performance in the areas of Aquatics and Customer Service.

• Interview, hire, train, and management of the pool and all employees to maintain a smooth execution of daily aquatics and service operations (fun and safe lessons, appearance, water hygiene, inventory, etc.).

• Manage the lesson plans and schedule, teach and lead swimming lessons as needed.

• Assist with weekly payroll responsibilities including but not limited to, timecard correction/approvals, PTO approvals/denial.

• Responsible for ensuring class schedules are up to date on the tech platform Jackrabbit with assigned instructors (you will be trained on this).

Minimum Qualifications:

• College/Tech/Associate degree OR High school diploma and 1 years of aquatics experience.

• Must be 21 years of age or older

• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of customer service and/or management experience.

• Experience in swimming and fitness teaching/management is preferred. A specialist Aquatics qualification is desirable, but not required as we provide training.

• Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid Certifications are a bonus, but training will be provided if not.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.

In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool.
