Description

We are in search of Computer Operator based in Troy, New York. This position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, where you'll be supporting our operations around the clock, helping to maintain our operational production schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor console for performance alerts and respond promptly

• Keep track of the schedule to ensure correct programs are running at appropriate times during the shift

• Monitor facility environmental controls including security, fire, humidity, and temperature

• Accurately prepare and maintain standard records and reports

• Communicate any issues to the technical staff promptly and professionally

• Assist with other job duties as assigned

• Oversee the operation of computer hardware systems, including coordinating and scheduling the use of computer terminals and networks to ensure efficient use

• Detect and respond to operating and error messages

• Assist in the enhancement of computer security systems

• Support the mail center operations as needed

Requirements • Proficiency in computer operations including the use of software and hardware

• Knowledge of scheduling tasks for optimal system performance

• Understanding of pricing strategies in relation to computer operations

• Ability to manage and maintain computer facilities effectively

• Prior experience in conducting background checks for security purposes

• Familiarity with production schedules and their impact on computer operations

• Skill in managing mail center operations

• Ability to ensure system security and protect sensitive information
