SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Facility Technician 2 will be the primary position responsible for day-to-day facility’s maintenance (including janitorial work, landscaping, and other varied duties). The Facility Technician 2 will typically work in all areas of the facility as well as assist more senior maintenance technicians in their work. The Facility Technician 2 must have a basic understanding of both facility and equipment maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute tasks as assigned by Facility Supervisor
Perform various janitorial tasks as needed (specialized range cleaning, trap cleaning, etc.)
Perform various landscaping tasks as needed
Perform various light plumbing, HVAC and painting work as required to maintain the facility
Assist other Facility and Maintenance Technicians (Electrical and Mechanical) with their work as required
Usage of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders, part orders and other computer systems or the willingness and aptitude to learn these systems
Accurately make independent decisions on product disposition
Trouble shoot various problems and develop corrective action to prevent reoccurrence
Adhere and monitor SOP
Understand/learn the nature and functionality of the products being inspected
Effectively communicate and notify supervisor when there are discrepancies
Must be able to accurately input all required data into the manufacturing database
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
Perform weekly Preventative Maintenance on all shooting ranges
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Mathematical skills
Able to work safely and make quality decisions with regard assigned tasks
Ability to work alone or as a part of a team, without direct supervision
Experience using various computer systems
Preferred prior knowledge of building maintenance
Cross functional team builder/player with high levels of professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm
Must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast work environment that has the potential to change due to regulatory and business needs
Need to be detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task
Experience working independently with little supervision
Must be able to pass PPE fit testing requirements
Must take an annual blood lead level test to ensure inorganic lead is within Kimber’s exposure limits
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Prior manufacturing experience
Preferred:
Minimum of 4 years Industrial or Facility Maintenance experience
Wastewater treatment operator
Mobile equipment experience
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position does not require travel.

Attendance is an essential job requirement defined as having regular, consistent, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance including the ability to work regular hours and shifts, overtime before and after shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required to meet customer demands. There may be little or no prior notice of overtime work. Ability to work as part of a team, including all related departments/plants or independently as required to achieve internal and external customer satisfaction.

While performing the duties of the job the employee works in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. This position needs to be able to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, inside, outside) and at heights (on ladders, scissor lifts, booms).

The employee is required to frequently wear all associated PPE (respirators, Tyvek suits, rubber/latex gloves, etc.). The employee is required to have the ability to work in confined spaces and under, over, or inside machines. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 70 pounds and 30 pounds on a regular basis.
WORK AUTHORIZATION
This position requires compliance with ITAR requirement. Must be a “U.S. Person” (per ITAR 120.15) and are required to show proof substantiating this upon being hired.
