Oracle’s Employee Experience and Strategic Communications (EESC) team is seeking a customer-focused content migration specialist with a passion for great user experience design and a talent for driving organizational collaboration to oversee the HR website content migration. The Web Content Migration Specialist will be a self-starter who will work with dozens of content owners and website administrators who contribute to the HR website's more than 4,000 pages to provide insight, direction and training on best practices for web content and user experience. In addition, this person will drive content migration and make recommendations for content consolidation and updates for top-tier pages of the site, data-driven template and navigation updates, and assist content owners with information architecture design and collaborate with others on the HRCILS team on content strategy. This will be done in consideration of the goals of the HR website.

The Web Content Migration Specialist will report to EESC Senior Manager, Digital Experience. This role will collaborate closely with the HR Content Owners, Project Manager, Content Strategist and UI Designer in HR as well as the Web Services team within the HR Information Systems (HRIS) team.


Work closely with the Digital Experience Team, HRIS and HR Comms to ensure our HR website supports our HR stakeholders, conveys our new branding and creates a positive, cohesive user experience.

Manage and execute migration and entry of content on the HR website (intranet) between our legacy experience (Web Center) and our new experience (Oracle Experience Cloud), including collaborating and coordinating with various content owners for their content audits, content reconciliation and content migration. This person will support multiple releases and migration releases and be responsible for driving the releases to a successful deployment. This person will be responsible for working with stakeholders to meet scheduled deadlines, and align resources. This person will need to track deliverable / provide status updates, identify and remove any roadblocks that hinder deliverables or reach out in a timely manner for assistance. This is a fast paced, multi-tasking position with degrees of autonomy and accountability.

While not solely responsible for the information architecture, this role will have influence on site-level information architecture, including making recommendations to top tier sections as needed and advising content owners on best practices in IA as they consolidate or expand offerings and add or subtract sections to their individual sites.

May participate in analyzing existing web analytics and work with stakeholders and content owners to develop a plan for strengthening the HR site’s use of analytics to guide website decisions and improve usability.

May collaborate in recommending a web content governance strategy while empowering and training site owners to ensure that HR web content is up to date and effectively communicates the brand story.

In partnership with Project Management, you will

  • Ensure deliverables deadlines are met for content entry

  • Review / update / respond to JIRA requests

  • Collaborate in communicating deadlines to team members and client representatives

  • Track / provide status updates, identify and remove any roadblocks

  • Review of content from editorial document in preparation of content entry

  • Ensure quality and accuracy of team's work.

  • Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in communications, HCI, marketing, business or related field and a minimum of six (6) years of related work experience in the following areas are required:Communications or marketing with a significant focus in digital communications.

  • Working within a content management system.

  • Experience creating content plans and calendars.

  • Experience developing websites to support marketing and communication goals.

  • A combination of experience and education may be substituted for the requirements above.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS

  • Experience working with or overseeing content on a large-scale site with multiple editors and content owners.

  • Experience and/or training in reading and analyzing Google analytics.

  • Experience in higher education, healthcare, large government agencies, publicly traded companies or other industries with diverse stakeholders, complicated regulations and a wide range of products and audiences

  • Experience with Atlassian suite of products (JIRA, Confluence)

  • Experience with a complex software release process and environment

Required Skills:

  • Strong project management skills with ability to oversee production of multiple projects

  • Comfortable with change and ambiguity with ability to effectively resolve conflict and identify solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and with a team

  • Manages stakeholder expectations proactively and ensures successful and timely completion of projects

  • Be comfortable working across various time zones

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to details and natural ability to take initiative

  • Hands-on, completes task and is dependable

  • Has excellent communication skills - written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal.

  • Experience with production support of content and content management systems
