Electronics Assembly Technician
We are a leading provider of plastic injection molding monitoring equipment, committed to delivering high-quality solutions to our clients worldwide. We are currently seeking a skilled Electronics Assembly Technician to join our production team. The Electronics Assembly Technician plays a vital role in the production process, ensuring the timely and accurate assembly, calibration and testing of RJG sensors used in plastic injection molding monitoring equipment. Working in collaboration with the production team, they adhere to ISO 9001 quality standards and maintain a clean and ESD-safe environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform assembly of electronic sensors according to engineering specifications and assembly procedures.
Utilize hand tools, soldering equipment, and other assembly tools to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
Perform sensor calibration using automated calibration machines.
Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Troubleshoot and debug assembly issues as necessary, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including component tracking and inventory management.
Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to implement improvements in assembly processes and procedures.
Quality
Monitor product quality and ensure production activities meet the QMS standards and customer requirements.
Verify product sizes, models, and cable lengths to the client order.
Understand, follow, and help maintain current ISO and Quality Management System procedures.
Assist with identifying, tracking, and resolving non-conforming material quality issues.
Recommend and implement measures to improve productivity, performance, product quality, methods, working conditions, and efficiencies.
Safety
Conduct informal inspections of production area and equipment and provide feedback on observations and corrective actions and opportunities for improvement.
Attend safety meetings and complete required safety training.
Manage risks during performance of job duties; recommend and implement safety and operational improvements.
Communication
Develop and maintain good communication and rapport with production personnel, and employees from other departments.
Attend morning huddle and departmental meetings.
Participate in departmental and company-wide training.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics or a related field preferred.
Experience in electronics assembly, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in plastic injection molding industry preferred, or ability to successfully complete RJG technical knowledge, product, and service training.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise and accurate assembly tasks.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation purposes.
Basic knowledge/understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards preferred.
