Summary & Qualifications:
Summary
This position is responsible for setting up and cleaning banquet rooms, and serving food and beverages for banquets. Responsibilities include taking beverage orders and serving food in a specified section of the dining room, pouring and refilling beverages, clearing soiled dishes, and assisting in closing functions by performing various tasks; removing linen, busing glasses, dishes, silverware, and re-setting the room. This person helps greet guests and clients, and reports guest complaints to a manager as they occur. The individual must be able to communicate effectively with guests and clients, be a team player, and be able to work well with the culinary and hospitality team; must be eighteen years of age or older, due to the serving of alcoholic beverages.
Qualifications
Required:
• Must be eighteen years of age or older (due to the serving of alcoholic beverages)
Preferred:
• High school diploma or GED • Prior server experience may be preferred
Essential Responsibilities

General Responsibilities
• Performs related banquet (dining room) set-up tasks • Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating • Takes beverage orders and serves food in specified section • Pours and refills wine, coffee, water and/or other beverages served with and after the meal • Clears soiled dishes as needed • Cleans all assigned work areas in service area and dining rooms • Advises supervisor of any client/guest complaints as soon as they occurs • Assists in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, busing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the room • Attends staff meetings as required

Language Skills
