Corewell Health Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance Tech Senior in Traverse City, Michigan
Job Summary
Inspects, maintains, services and repairs Aero Med aircraft, its components and systems to ensure safety and air worthiness. Conducts preventive maintenance. Maintains parts and supplies necessary to minimize aircraft downtime.
Essential Functions
Maintains NFAM/Aero Med aircraft, including inspections, repairs, parts replacement, and servicing. Performs diagnostic evaluations on aircraft.
Conducts regular reviews and performs preventive maintenance. Documents maintenance activities. Ensures that required documentation for activities within areas of responsibility is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
Procures materials for repair needs. Maintains an inventory of aircraft spares necessary to minimize downtime.
Participates in process improvement activities. Collaborates with other personnel to decrease costs and increase efficiencies.
Supervises and oversees the work accomplished by the technician 1 A&P maintenance staff and maintenance contractors.
Demonstrates commitment to patient and team member safety. Considers safety as the primary factor in all decisions.

Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
5 years of relevant experience turbine aircraft or related field
CRT-FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics (A&P) - Upon Hire
CRT-Inspection Authorization (IA) - FAA Federal Aviation Administration Upon Hire
LIC-Driver's License - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire
Preferred
10 years of relevant experience turbine aircraft
Composite repair training
Multi-engine aircraft experience
Experience with RADS vibration equipment / sophisticated test equipment / power tools
Experience operating ground support equipment including fuel truck, snow plow, tow tractor, and fork lift
