OandG Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT is seeking aCustodialMaintenance Specialistto join our team in Southbury. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.

The Custodial Maintenance Specialist is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment within the facility.

The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other areas
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors as needed
• Empty and clean trash bins, replace lines and dispose of waste properly
• Restock supplies in bathrooms and common areas
• Monitor cleanliness and sanitation levels across the facility
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop work area
• Adheres to company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of janitorial experience
• Knowledge of methods of maintaining, cleaning and preserving a variety of surfaces
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to bend, kneel or crouch while performing duties
• Must be able to work safely in an environment containing chemicals, cleaning materials, dust and noise
• Works well independently
