The Therapeutic Activities Aide serves as an important member of the Activities Department Team assisting with the implementation of essential treatment groups designed to meet the unique treatment needs of the Torrance State Hospital patients. The TAA works under the direction of the Therapeutic Activities Services Supervisor conducting large and small treatment group activities which serve as treatment interventions that address the patients' plan of care goals. The TAA will be responsible for offering both on and off campus group activities. The TAA will provide group interventions that are designed to meet the patients' treatment needs in a unique and creative manner.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Rotational schedule: 7 days on and 2 days off; 8 days on, 4 days off, with every 3rd weekend off Travel and overtime as needed Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (commonwealth title); or Six months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements: You must meet the PA residency requirement. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
