Robert Half AR/Royalty Accountant in Torrance, California
Description
We are in search of an AR/Royalty Accountant to be a part of our team based in Torrance, California. Your role will involve various accounting functions, including the management of accounts receivable and royalty collections. You will also interact with our Licensing Department and handle accounting tasks related to licensing revenue.
Responsibilities:
• Demonstrate proactive management of licensee accounts to ensure accurate and timely results.
• Review, process, and book revenue income and expenses related to royalty statements.
• Handle AR collections and Minimum Guarantee collections from licensees.
• Collaborate with the Licensing Department for revenue projections and associated marketing expense analysis.
• Generate and send invoices to fulfill contractual obligations of the Licensing division.
• Maintain master licensee tracking and payment files.
• Assist in preparing quarterly management reports to our headquarters.
• Contribute to various ad-hoc projects and analysis as required.
• Perform assigned month-end and quarter-end close deliverables and reconciliations.
• Provide support for third-party licensee audits by compiling necessary documentation.
• Understand and transact accounting entries in ERP with a clear comprehension of Debit and Credit.
• Assist with audit requests from external auditors during quarterly and year-end audits.

Requirements • The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in AR/Royalty Accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Knowledge and practical experience with Cerner Technologies is a must.
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential.
• Experience with ERP Solutions is desired.
• The candidate should be well-versed in various Accounting Functions.
• Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.
• The candidate should have a solid understanding of Accrual Accounting.
• Auditing skills are a significant part of the job role.
• The candidate must be comfortable with Billing Functions.
• Experience in dealing with Royalties is required.
• The candidate should have a strong background in Commissions Accounting.
