Job Overview: Linde is seeking a Helium & Rare Gas Accountant to join our dynamic Finance Team in Tonawanda, NY. The Helium Accountant is responsible for the general accounting activities for the Global Helium businesses. Ensures the day-to-day maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger, prepares financial reports, and reports variances. Primary Responsibilities: - Works closely with Helium business controller and Associate Director of Finance to provide day to day accounting and financial analysis support - Responsibilities include preparation and analysis of inventory models and analyzing plant operating expenses for accuracy and completeness - Month end responsibilities include review of expense transactions, analysis of purchased product, preparation of journal entries & account reconciliations - Interprets internal or external accounting issues and recommends best practices - Ensures accounting conforms with GAAP, company policies, and SOX documentation - Assists with analysis of trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses - Ad hoc projects and financial analysis Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required - 2-4 years relevant accounting experience, manufacturing environment preferred - Proficient in Microsoft Office - especially Excel - Highly organized, detail oriented, and a strong team player - Ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of urgency and accountability - Ability to problem solve and work independently - Demonstrate the ability to learn new processes and concepts quickly - JD Edwards experience is preferred - Oracle Business Intelligence preferred About Linde: Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2023 sales of $33 billion.
