Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

Job Description

The Commercial Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatics, electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts. Candidates must be prepared to undergo a hair follicle drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems.

  • Utilize knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatics, and electronic control systems.

  • Perform pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts.

  • Conduct troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.

  • 2+ years of commercial HVAC experience.

  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

  • Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • EPA certification preferred.

  • Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.

  • Physically agile, dexterous, and able to work in confined spaces.

Work Environment

Candidates will be working throughout Western New York to service commercial HVAC units. Our company has a strong presence in Buffalo, Rochester, Olean, and parts of Northwestern Pennsylvania. You will be joining a team of dedicated professionals with extensive experience in complex mechanical systems and historic renovations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tonawanda, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
