Role description: Arcadis is currently searching for an CAD / BIM Intern, to join our Water Business Line team in the Toledo, OH office. The CAD / BIM Intern will, under the direction of the Project Designer or Project Manager, work on process-related projects, primarily focused on developing design drawings, support during project planning in the form of figures, setting up drawings according to specified CAD standards, working alongside project engineers during design development, and engaging appropriate QA/QC review. Projects may also include Civil/Site, Process Mechanical, Structural, and Environmental drafting for process piping, distribution/collection systems, pumping systems, stormwater systems, and other utility designs We are excited to present this excellent opportunity to an individual that is interested in:

Role accountabilities: Primary responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Providing technical and CAD support for water, wastewater, or industrial project designs as part of a team.
  • Corresponding with project managers and project teams.
  • Growing professionally by engaging in a variety of market sectors with the guidance and experience of the existing team.
  • Working on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously with the initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly.
  • Assisting on preliminary and detailed design figures and drawings, conceptual site layouts, detailed design drawings, as-built condition / record drawings, and other drafting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications

  • Excellent communicator with a passion to serve and an interest in growth.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Microstation CAD software.
  • Experience with both 2D & 3D drafting.
