Pediatric Intensivist- Northwest Pediatric Specialists Requisition ID 2024-53391 Category NCH Toledo Overview The Pediatric Intensivist will provide a high level of clinical excellence in all various clinical roles through providing safe, prompt, competent, collaborative, and evidence-based medical care to Northwest Pediatric Specialist, LLC patients. The Pediatric Intensivist will be responsible to provide comprehensive primary care for infant, children, and adolescent patients. Pediatric Intensivist will perform medical and other professional services as may be required in the professional practice of Nationwide Children's Hospital at Northwest Pediatric Specialist, LLC, with other physicians of assigned to Northwest Pediatric Specialist, LLC. Responsibilities * Clinical responsibilities: Physician will perform medical and other professional services as may be required in the professional practice at Northwest Pediatric Specialist, LLC and shall assume a substantially equal share of the professional work load of professional practice in the PICU, whether scheduled or emergent, inpatient or outpatient, including availability of call on nights and weekends. Clinical responsibilities include approximately 8, 24 hour shifts per month in the PICU. Physician shall work at least an average of 7.2 intensivist shifts per month. Physician will also work 8 pediatric sedation shifts on an equitable basis with other intensivist staffing in the PICU. * Teaching: Physician shall actively participate in lectures, clinical teaching, and developing curricula for pediatric house staff and medical students, as well as other allied health care professionals. Physician may also be asked to provide education and training to health care professional at other institutions. Qualifications Education: Medical Degree required. Completion of a 2-year ACGME-accredited fellowship program. Licensure: Valid State of Ohio medical license required. Certifications: Must obtain or maintain board certification in Pediatrics.
