2nd Shift Batch Operator

Job Description

We have multiple openings across machine operation. Candidates will be working alone or with a helper, responsible for keeping machines running and tracking their operation, loading materials in and out of machines, and working with rackers to ensure parts are properly built for the furnaces. Additionally, you will take parts to the quality lab to be checked.

Responsibilities

  • Keep machines running and monitor their operation

  • Load materials in and out of machines

  • Work with rackers to ensure parts are properly built for the furnaces

  • Transport parts to the quality lab for inspection

Essential Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or industrial experience

  • Experience in machine operation

  • Ability to work overtime, up to 7 days a week

  • Capability to train on day shift

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with assembly, forklift, packaging, picking, packing, racking, loading, and unloading

  • Must be able to wear steel-toed shoes

  • Ability to work in a hot environment (furnaces)

Work Environment

This is a mid-sized employer in the heat treating industry, working with metals for automotive, entertainment (roller coasters), and other industries. Openings are available on the 2nd Shift. Training periods are on the 1st shift for 3 months for Batch Operators. Positions pay $18-20/hour depending on candidate experience. Shift times 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM. Steel-toed shoes and long pants are required in most areas, with t-shirts being acceptable.

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $20.00
