The Commercial Data Science team within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our team located in Titusville, New Jersey .

Key Responsibilities :

  • Modeling and analysis of pharmaceutical and healthcare data with a focus on patient level predictions with the aim of helping patients start and stay on therapy

  • Predicting events along the patient journey and implementing solutions to help patients overcome prescription fulfillment barriers

  • Model creation, feature generation, data cleaning, and data exploration

  • Extracting insights from pharmaceutical data and working with business stakeholders to implement the model predictions in real-world deliverables

  • Communicating technical findings to business partners

  • Producing functionalized, reusable code for solutions across multiple brands

Qualifications

Required:

  • M.S. or B.S. with 2 years of relevant machine learning modeling experience, in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence, Physics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or a related discipline

  • Working knowledge of AI-type algorithms, including machine learning techniques such as regression, decision trees, probability networks, clustering, classification, and/or forecasting

  • Familiarity with large datasets and understanding of data analysis workflows

  • Proficiency with Python and SQL

  • Experience delivering on data science projects as an individual contributor using predictive technologies, data mining and/or text mining

  • Proficient with source control platforms such as GitHub or BitBucket

  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate complex methods and results to diverse audiences both technical and non-technical

Preferred:

  • Experience in the commercial pharmaceuticals business

  • Working knowledge of commercially available healthcare data sets (e.g. electronic medical records and medical / pharmacy insurance claims data)

  • Working knowledge of machine learning platforms/environments

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 88,000 to 1,41,450.

Bonus : The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Please use the following language:

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
