The IT Lead will work directly with the J&J Innovative Medicine business community to collect demand, lead platform improvement initiatives, and provide technical leadership and communications to the Global user community. This individual will be responsible for end-to-end business relationship management, concept development, product roadmaps, and project management of selected initiatives showcasing our search and GenAI capabilities for providing content authoring features for Medical Affairs globally. As the Technical Product Owner of iMedical GenAI, one of the first successful deployments of Generative AI within JNJ, this role will play a vital role in pioneering and globally scaling this revolutionary GenAI application.

An individual in this role is expected to:

• Shape the squad vision / roadmap and steer the squad in delivering products / platforms features / work oriented around business impact.

• Shape and prioritize backlog, applying business expertise and understanding of customer needs, translate requirements into user stories & acceptance criteria.

• Balance business value with technical feasibility while prioritizing stories and features, optimizing cost, and improving delivery efficiency.

• Act as the “voice of the customer” within the squad to ensure the squad “builds the right thing”

• Accountable for crafting and hitting squad objectives and key results.

• Work closely with Product/Platform Manager to establish the products’ business value and support messaging, communications, and customer outreach.

• Ensure the products / features / work meets relevant security, privacy & compliance standards.

• Drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Required:

• Required Minimum Education: 5 years of proven experience and BA/BS degree

• Demonstrated experience in business analysis and project management delivering medium- and large-scale projects in hybrid cloud / managed service models from concept through delivery and operations.

• Ability to communicate across team and partners and to inspire trust in vision, strategic goals & aspirations.

• Ability to think creatively about where business initiatives drive technology evolution and to break-down processes and reimagine enabling technology capabilities with business partners.

• Experience with Agile methodology and strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle Management model and documentation.

• Self-starter with strong abilities to shape & manage complexity.

Preferred:

• Experience within the pharmaceutical industry and a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and its operating environment is preferred.

• Experience implementing or supporting Commercial IT technologies in Content Search, Content Management, and Systems Integration.

• Working knowledge of technology products like Elastic Search solutions.

• Experience implementing or supporting ontology management systems, GenAI and/or Natural Language Processing capabilities highly regarded.

• Capable of taking a “hands-on approach” to experiment and try things if needed.

• Certifications in Business Analysis and/or Project Management areas or relevant experience will be highly regarded.

• Experience working with cross-regional/global IT and cross-functional teams is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to apply IT knowledge to solving business problems, excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, strong negotiating skills.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $90,000 to $144,900.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
