Job Title: Forklift Driver

Job Description

You will be trained to operate a forklift to move products around the production facility. You will follow orders to pick up products with a forklift and transport them to their necessary destinations, such as staging areas for production, from machines to storage areas, or on/off trucks for transport or shipping. You may also be responsible for ensuring the production line has enough product to keep running, moving and emptying racks, loading and reloading packers, and getting on and off the forklift to adjust, wrap, or package products as needed. Some computer skills are required until the system is updated. We will be conducting interviews starting this week.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move products around the production facility.

• Follow orders to pick up and transport glass products.

• Transport products to staging areas, storage areas, or for shipping.

• Ensure the production line has enough products to keep running.

• Move and empty racks as needed.

• Load and reload packers.

• Get on and off the forklift to adjust, wrap, or package products.

• Use computer skills as necessary.

• Forklift operation

• Material handling

• Basic computer skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Fork Lift Experience (preferred but not required)

• Material Handling Experience (preferred but not required)

• Manufacturing Labor/Production Experience (highly preferred)

• Experience with RF scanners

• Shipping and receiving experience

• Stand-up forklift experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tipton, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
