National Machinery Quality Engineer in Tiffin, Ohio

If you are interested in pursuing | | a career with a company that is well capitalized and privately held | | by an ownership group that is focused on long term growth, please | | consider applying. | | ?EEO/M/F/D/V | | QUALITY ENGINEER (Salary Exempt) | | | | | | | | | | | |   | | | | | | | | | | | | Leads continual improvement in product quality and business | | processes.  Works under general supervision with broad objectives.  | | Interacts with various departments to define, document, analyze, | | perform, and interpret tests for products, components, and/or | | processes. Drives all relevant parties (suppliers, customers, | | internal) to formulate solutions and reduce quality problems. | | Identifies chronic or systemic problems in design, manufacturing, | | inspection, and implements permanent solutions. Ensures testing | | procedures comply with required industry specific standard and | | develops improvements to overall testing and quality processes.  | | Organizes and maintains records and documentation to support ISO 9001 | | certification, product test/validation procedures, product safety, | | product performance, product reliability, corrective and preventive | | actions, and customer feedback.  Creates and prepares reports, | | presentations, letters, and quality communications to customers. | | Other duties as may be assigned. | | MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: | | | | | | | | - Bachelor's degree and three to five years of relevant experience | | or equivalent industry experience based on years of work in | | similar role/industry | | - Experience in development and/or maintenance of Quality Assurance | | programs compliant with ISO 9001 and/or TS16949 standards. | | - Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and shop | | sketches, knowledge of GD&T.   | | - Understanding of machine systems including mechanical, | | lubrication, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, tooling | | - Understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, | | metal fabrication, welding, and metal casting | | - Proficient in use of personal computer, Microsoft Office and | | statistical analysis software. | | - Must be well organized, self-motivated, and able to work with | | little supervision. | | - Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate with | | employees in various positions, suppliers, and customers. | | - Must have technical writing skills and technical/analytical | | aptitude. | | - Must have valid US driver's license and ability to obtain | | passport. | | | | | | | | PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: | | | | | | | | - Proficiency in problem solving methodologies and root cause | | analysis | | - Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Product Data | | Management (PDM) and Custom Relationship Management (CRM) | | software. | | | | | | | | WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: | | | | | | | | - Office and shop environment. | | - Occasional short term domestic travel to visit business partners. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Pay Range: $75,000 - $85,000 per year | | www.nationalmachinery.co | | m/careers{rel="nofollow"}  | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+
