National Machinery Assembler, Field Service in Tiffin, Ohio

150% paid time over 8 hours daily, in-house over 45 in a week are paid as 200%
$8.00 / Hour Premium when performing Field Service
Field Service hours over 40 paid at 150%
$4.00 / Hour Travel Premium when traveling for Field Service
Every 120 field service hours earns additional 8 hours of vacation time
Assembly of components to build complex machines from the ground up into finished product following instructions, drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Inspection of own work to ensure safety, quality, and proper functionality of equipment. Disassembly and inspection of legacy equipment in support of customer rebuild projects to like new condition.
Perform field service calls to customers' facilities, including troubleshooting, consultation, and mechanical repair. Our field service staff is highly respected by our customers, and our representatives must present themselves professionally in person as well as in written communications. Field service assemblers also play a key role in identifying sales opportunities for parts, service, repairs, and upgrades.
Being a member of the field service team, you are expected to wear National Machinery service uniforms. These uniforms will be provided as needed, until you reach 250 field service hours. When the 250-hour threshold has been met, you will be issued permanent service uniforms with laundry services. It is typical to spend 400 hours in the field annually, this amount will vary depending on our customer's needs. If you want to work field service more frequently, there will be opportunities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years mechanical experience or related vocational education
- Must have a strong safety orientation and maintain consistent safety consciousness
- Self-motivated and can follow instruction and retain training and information to be able to repeat duties without supervision
- Must be quality focused and detail oriented, able to actively participate and work in a team environment or individually to maintain schedules and efficiency
- Strong mechanical and mathematical skills, with an understanding of engineering drawings and schematics, ability to follow detailed work instructions
- Knowledge in the use of manual and powered hand tools, powered equipment, precision measuring devices and cutting tools
- Ability to speak and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer skills to log time and provide briefings on current builds or customer service visits
- Provide own common hand tools, other specific tools will be supplied pertaining to our custom equipment teardown, assemblies, and installations
- Neat and professional appearance always maintained
- Customer service mentality to enhance our customers confidence in our company
- Ability to work and make decisions independently when in customer's facility
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Valid driver's license and driving record that allows insurability under company's policy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiar with Windows programs and Microsoft Office tools
Ability to obtain a passport for overseas travel as international travel may be requested
