Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and have one year of post NYS licensure professional social work experience; * OR Licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Registration and licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor are not considered qualifying. * Professional social work experience involves activities such as screening, assessing and diagnosing individuals' and families' psychosocial needs, strengths and limitations; participating in the development of treatment plans and discharge plans; counseling and educating individuals, groups and families to promote mental, emotional, physical and social functioning; helping access needed services; providing client/patient advocacy and crisis intervention; and developing, coordinating and evaluating services and support systems. Experience limited to social work research or social work administration is NOT considered qualifying.Continued employment as a Licensed Master Social Worker is dependent upon current licensure and registration by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Loss of licensure or registration may result in removal from employment.PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS: • Possess a minimum of one (1) year experience working with people who have Developmental Disabilities. • Display strong writing, verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Possess the ability to work independently. • Have a working knowledge of and be proficient in the use of a computer. • Possession of a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State is preferred.

Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:This staff person will be a part of the Bureau of Assessment, Oversight and Coordination (BAOC) within the Division of Service Delivery, StatewideServices. The position will be located within an applicable Developmental Disabilities Regional Office (DDRO) but will have supervisory andadministrative reporting structure to Central Office. The Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Assessment Quality Staff supervisor will lead thestatewide team of Quality Assurance/ Quality Management (QA/QM) operations staff. These teams provide customer services across the wholestate and perform field observations of state and contract vendor assessors administering the state approved assessment. This position will workin tandem with the other LMSW Assessment Quality Staff supervisor. The LMSW position will report to the Social Work Supervisor (SWS1) forAssessment Operations.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Oversee the activities of an assigned team of QA/QM assessors across multiple DDRO regions. This would include but is not limited totime off requests, time and attendance records, dissemination of information from the Coordinated Assessment System/Child andAdolescent Needs Strengths (CAS/CANS) Central Office team, monitoring of productivity and staff training requirements, etc.• Oversee the activities of an assigned team of QA/QM staff responsible for the processing of CAS/CANS concerns and related requestsacross multiple DDRO regions. This would include but is not limited to time off requests, time and attendance records, dissemination ofinformation from the CAS/CANS central office team, monitoring of productivity and staff training requirements, etc.• Fulfill training and certification requirements prior to the utilization of the assessment and/or review tools, on an ongoing basis.• Complete clinical review of field observation documents, generate summaries in required timeframes and ensure tracking is completed.• Complete clinical debriefs of observations with new staff and as needed with all staff.• Provide oversight for and complete tracking of all correspondence from the shared mailbox and concerns cases.• Complete all required documentation accurately utilizing the technology provided.• Attain set productivity standards, or an average number of field observations per month.• Manage protocols for QA/QM staff travel and caseloads.• Maintain and complete QA/QM related program activities, timeline activities and deliverables as provided by Central Office.• Help facilitate and act as a liaison with the state assessment for quality oversight activities and address any issues that may arise.• Schedule and coordinate regular meetings with QA/QM staff to conduct a “Community of Practice”, share information and give feedback and guidance.• Lead workgroups for new BAOC initiatives that support program development.• Manage multiple priorities effectively, including prioritizing work plans and work assignments and meeting deadlines.• Provide coverage for the other LMSW Assessment Quality Staff supervisor.• Report issues to the SWS1 as appropriate.• To adequately supervise, QA/QM staff travel (approximately 15% to 20% of the time) is required including some weekend travel and overnight stays at hotels.• Utilize flexible scheduling, including evening, and weekend hours as necessary.

Additional Comments Please note, the posted Hiring Salaries includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for ISU Grade 20 ($72,032) along with any special salary treatments in effect for this position in thislocation, such as a Down-state adjustment ($3,400) for Hudson Valley DDSO.
