To learn more, visit our benefits and perks page. __ Position Overview:Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm The Continuous Improvement team is responsible for creating & managing the knowledge concerned with principles, techniques, and tools used in planning, control, monitoring, and review of projects. They will create & educate the company on Lean Six Sigma (LSS) best methods and approaches. They will govern all projects tagged as Lean Six Sigma. They will manage the LSS Project Pipeline, assist in the review of Portfolio Management (Systems, Tools), create & evolve various business process & procedures. The LSS Green belt is responsible for managing one or more small project efforts through the mentoring and guidance of an experienced LSS Black belt. The position's focus is to obtain experience in effective planning, leading, organizing and motivating project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to the organization. This is considered to be an essential onsite role and will require regular onsite attendance. Responsibilities: Manage ongoing communication of project status, completing weekly Project Status Reports and escalating issues to the stakeholders, sponsors and senior management Responsible for plan, execute, control and close processes within a project life cycle, including defining scope and requirements, setting up schedules and milestones, managing resources and timelines, insuring delivery of desired outcomes, etc. Project Status Reports and escalating issues to the stakeholders, sponsors and senior management Knowledge of project management principles and practices Strong skills using MicroSoft Office; including MS Word & Excel Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned Taking on additional responsibilities from LSS BB, Sr. LSS BB & Continuous Improvement Manager Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars Takes notes and helps execute activities that results from Process Improvement efforts Required Skills and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent Typically 0-2 years of experience working at Digi-Key with experience in Operational Excellence or seen as a key lead in driving value-added process change in the various business functions. Basic understanding of the various functions of Digi-Key, how they work together as well as the industry Digi-Key operates in Knowledge of Digi-Key brand and its principles Must demonstrate the following behavioral competencies: Attention to detail, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, initiative, managing execution, personal effectiveness/credibility professionalism & positive attitude Preferred Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Development, Business Administration or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience Certification in process improvement methodology Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Physical Requirements: Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body .
