Linde Engineering North America LLC Subcontract Administrator The Woodlands, TX, United States | req19238 What you will enjoy doing*

  • In this role, you will facilitate and execute the Subcontractor Selection Process and perform together with SHEQ, Engineering, Project Management and Construction the re-qualification process
  • Further, you will facilitate the pre-award meetings and manage Request For Quote (RFQ) process for subcontractors; identify potential subcontractors, assemble the RFQ package, and coordinate RFQ clarifications
  • In addition, you will prepare commercial bid comparison, negotiate subcontracts and finalize subcontract documents
  • Review and approve subcontractor's invoices in cooperation with site manager and / or construction department is part of your function
  • You will review and approve subcontractor insurance requirements and certificates
  • Administer Change Order Management; review contractual basis for change order, coordinate approval process, maintain change order logs, and cost reporting / forecasting is part of your role
  • You are in charge to enter and maintain subcontractor data in ERP system
  • Moreover, you must expedite subcontractor documentation and reporting requirements
  • Administer Claim Management with subcontractor is required

What makes you great

  • You have a BS / BA in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and experience and ten (10) or more years' experience in subcontracting
  • Further, you posses a broad understanding of the construction industry and contract language
  • Ability to identify risk and minimize associated consequences suits your profile, as well as effective negotiation and leadership skills
  • Also, you have effective computer skill in Microsoft Office Software, Lotus Notes, and other company and discipline specific software applications
  • Additionally, you have effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills are required in this role
