Purpose/Introduction
As integral part of the Global Procurement team, the S2P Procurement Business Systems Analyst role will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to our internal and external customers with the utilization of CPChem’s procurement systems, as well as assisting with the design and enablement of system enhancements. This role involves working cross-functionally with various stakeholders, testing new system features and functionality, training users on various procurement system functionality, and managing beginning-to-end system issue resolution. The ideal candidate would possess experience with the Source to Contract processes and a solid understanding of best business practices, enabling them to ask right questions and apply their knowledge to foster and drive continuous system improvements.
Responsibilities
Act as a primary point of contract and provide day-to-day support to internal and external customers
Serves as the subject matter expert on the Ariba system
Assist users with system processes within the Ariba Guided Sourcing and Contract modules including the release of RFPs and contract management
Perform root cause analysis for issues identified within the SAP Ariba system and develop a solution to resolve the issue
Create and maintain S2P training documents including quick reference guides related to standard system functionality and CPChem’s system design
Facilitate training to enable end-users to effectively utilize the Ariba modules
Develop Proof of Concept (POC) for assigned project deliverables and conduct testing to verify the system’s functionality aligns with the business requirements
Leverage data analytics to make informed decisions on system process design
Take an active leadership role on assigned projects and tasks
Ensure system design and configuration adheres to the Global Procurement policies and procedures
Serve as a liaison between the business (e.g. Global Procurement, Process Excellence, Legal), Information Technology team and Ariba
Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and systems
Serve as a resource to assist the business with the development of ad-hoc reports
Perform security assessments of user licenses and collaborate with IT Security team for security role modifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of Strategic Procurement experience including Contracting and Sourcing
Experience utilizing Procurement systems for Sourcing and Contract Management (e.g. SAP Ariba)
Strong working knowledge of sourcing and contracting policies, procedures and best business practices
Analytical capability including data analysis
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional stakeholders
Open-minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise, and problem-solve
Excellent customer service skills, including issue resolution and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Self-managed, can take ownership of work and report weekly
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with managing and enabling system functionality within SAP Ariba Sourcing and Contract Management modules
Ability to identify system process improvement opportunities
Familiarity and experience designing system solutions in SAP Ariba
Applicable certification (i.e. C.P.M, CPSM)
