LINDE ENGINEERING NA LLC Project Logistics Manager in The Woodlands, Texas

DUTIES: Prepare and organize project setup. Prepare a project logistics schedule in coordination with the Project Controls-Scheduling department for executing all details of the supply chain activities. Prepare project specific procedures and specifications such as, but not limited to, packing and marking instruction, ready for shipment instruction, logistics inquiry, and order template. Establish a project specific logistics service provider list considering financial project requirements and service provider experience to create global project tenders. Execute vendor pre-qualification. Conduct competitive bidding and negotiate rates and discounts for logistics project frame agreements and other contractual documents. Execute final bid evaluation and price comparison according to approved matrix. Examine transport and lifting sketches for oversized, heavy-lift cargoes. Report and monitor engineering hours and transport budget, including estimate at completion. Support Sales Team for estimation of budget calculation and feasibility of project. Perform onsite logistics study to ensure equipment can be transported into the jobsite. Facilitate national and international market screens to obtain the necessary knowledge of the logistics market. Adhere to Trade Compliance and the company's Policies and Procedures. Execute project transportation requirements within budgetary guidelines. Audit all freight charges and file claims on overages. Prepare and file transport insurance claims. Actively work with suppliers to ensure timely submission of project related documentation and meeting the project deadlines.

REQTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field and five (5) years of Supply Chain Management or Procurement - Logistics experience in the job offered or in a related position within an Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) or project-driven environment. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Utilizing an ERP business system for efficient data collection and input data; International and domestic shipping experience following Trade Compliance requirements; Managing permit loads, heavy haul transportation, and project shipping in adherence to the Department of Transportation or International Maritime Shipping regulation; U.S. Customs Import or Export Regulations to execute customs clearance; Customs Invoice Valuation in accordance with Contract Management and Trade Compliance requirements; Negotiating best shipping rates; Microsoft Office Software, SAP, and discipline specific software applications; Working closely with suppliers to ensure submission of necessary deliverables for Project's progress; Reporting current status and outlook for supply chain activities to internal (Project Management team) and external (clients) stakeholders; Proactively monitoring supplier's progress to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and on time delivery.
